Description
Donkova mound is located near the town of Shipka, about 450 m to the right of the road Shipka-Golyamo Dryanovo. The height of the mound itself in relation to the terrain is 11 m. The historical site is part of the Valley of the Thracian Kings, and a temple called the Temple of the Sun was found on top of the mound. There are two rectangular rooms of stone blocks, around which a primitive wall of river stones has been built.
