Description
The temple was built in 1884. The whole village participated with labour and donations. The bells of the temple were made in Russia. In 1965, the Rila Monastery asked to buy these bells, whose ringing, according to legend, has healing powers. But the villagers made a petition and the bells remain in Gorno Cherkovishte to this day.
