Memorial plaque /sign/ of Lyubomir Kabakchiev

Lyubomir Kabakchiev is a Bulgarian actor and theatre director, born in Kazanlak, Chairman of the Union of Artists in Bulgaria from 1970 to 1986. He graduated in law at the Sofia University. He studied acting at the Krastyo Sarafov Institute of Theatre. He is the chairman of the Union of Artists, as well as a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, winner of many state awards, People's Artist. Since 1969 he has been an honorary citizen of Stara Zagora. As a sign of appreciation for the qualities of the actor, by decision of the Kazanlak Municipal Council, a professional drama theatre was founded in 1998, bearing his name, as well as the street that leads to the Thracian Tomb.
