Description

On March 2, members of the local "Club of the Repressed" honored the 22 victims of the People's Court in Kazanlak, where a total of 97 inhabitants of the then Kazanlak district were indicted. Among the dead were teachers, administrators, entrepreneurs, police officers and military personnel. They were buried in a mass grave next to the cemetery park. In 1992, in the mandate of Mayor Boncho Sarafov, the remains of the murdered were exhumed and buried as befitted. Then the monument was erected.
